Disk manager reports the status of a dynamic drive as "Healthy (At Risk) when Deep Freeze is installed on Windows 8

Overview

In some cases workstations running Deep Freeze and Windows 8 may show a status of "Healthy (At Risk)" in the disk manager on Dynamic Disks.

Details

This is a cosmetic issue that occurs when Deep Freeze is installed on Windows 8 regardless of the status of the drive. Choosing to reactivate the drive within the disk manager will remove the "At Risk" statement from the drive, but will continue to show a yellow warning triangle on the drive in the disk manager.
