How do I adjust the refresh time for Insight?

The refresh rate for a client system running Insight can be altered by adjusting the following keys:

 

For 32-bit PCs:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Insight]

"ThumbnailDelay"= REG_DWORD:00001000

 

For 64-bit PCs:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Insight]

"ThumbnailDelay"= REG_DWORD:00001000

 

The value is the number of milliseconds that it waits between thumbnail refresh.  Set to 1000 for a 1 second delay.  The default is 5000 for a 5 second delay. Tweaking this value may result in an increase in network traffic and CPU load on the client workstations. Changes to this setting will require a reboot to become active.
