How do I do Windows updates on a machine protected by Anti-Executable?

Faronics recommends the use of the Anti-Executable maintenance mode to perform windows updates on client workstations. This allows for any changes to the applications installed on the system to be immediately reflected in the whitelist when the updates are completed.
