We have had a number of customers contacting us asking if Deep Freeze is compatible with the latest Apple Silicon based hardware.
The answer is yes, provided that you are using the latest release of the software. There is however an issue with Deep Freeze performing Apple software updates on Apple Silicon. This occurs when the devices running Apple Silicon prompt for a second password when downloading updates. Users on Apple Silicon should not enable Apple software update in a Deep Freeze maintenance period. We are actively working with Apple to resolve this and hope to address this in future releases.
