Support for Mac OS Monterey
Posted by Adam Zilliax on 05 November 2021 12:06 PM

Happy to announce that Deep Freeze Mac v7.4 supports Monterey and is now available on both Cloud and On-Premise. The on-prem version will require a new license key. Customers with valid maintenance can obtain updated keys and download links from Faronics Labs (for North America) or the Faronics Customer Center (for customers outside of North America).

Notes (starting from macOS Big Sur):
  • The Apple Software Update option in the maintenance schedule has been disabled on Apple Silicon Macs.
  • Command-line installation of configuration profiles is no longer supported. Configuration profiles will need to be installed manually.
  • For Intel-based Macs, a 3-hour timeout has been introduced after the Maintenance modes where the computer will be forced to restart, should it fail to restart once the Apple Software updates are completed.
