As Insight is designed it will not function effecitvely across the internet without some form of VPN or site to site link that connects the workstations together into a single network.

While Insight can communicate to networks outside of the teacher consoles subnet with the Directed Broadcast option, this only allows for a maximum of three networks to be configured, limiting the effective number of workstations that can be managed.
