Deep Freeze MAC and High Sierra Support for APFS Volumes
Posted by Adam Zilliax, Last modified by Adam Zilliax on 14 September 2017 08:00 PM
With the release of macOS High Sierra (10.13.x) it is expected that many systems running this operating system will see a transition from HPFS to APFS as the default file system. At this time Faronics Deep Freeze does not support installation on a APFS formatted volume.

Accordingly, Faronics does not recommend that customers install the update to High Sierra while Deep Freeze is installed on the system.

While support for APFS volumes is being worked on at this time there is no ETA for a release to formally support installation of Deep Freeze on these systems. Once support for APFS volumes is announced customers will be notified via the Faronics Support portal (support.faronics.com).

More information on APFS can be found at the link below;
